Is generative AI the answer to content?

Or, in which, less is sometimes more.

For years, I’ve been advising clients to create more content. Now with AI, it’s easy. But should that be the route? Is generative AI the answer to content needs?

Then, I was working with clients to create real, human authored content on a schedule. The best I could do then is to get them post something new once a month or week. The schedule and keeping to it was key from as user-centered perspective.

Now, they can post articles and other things multiple times a day, flooding the zone with their content. But is it truly theirs? It’s just throwing shit (a lot of it). against the wall to see what sticks. None with that human spark or insight.

This was never what I advised for my clients. These days, less content does truly mean more, if done correctly.

Now you can do more with car less volume to make an impact. AI can generate a lot, but it can’t generate actual insight or a spark that drives the next step.and when you have the spark, it, well, sparkles.

I’m not advising that you ditch AI LLM models as generative tools. Instead, use them to spark ideas. Maybe, do this instead: Create three drafts on different but related subjects. put them side by side and look. Look for that spark. Look for the odd comparison. Look for insight that isn’t apparent.

And then write or create something that truly connects to other humans as a human. People will recognize that.

It’s not rocket science or brain surgery to them, but they’ll never think of rocket surgery for example. Mixed metaphors aren’t its bag.
