After six months of being completely gone due to life happening on a number of fronts, I’ve decided on my own to resurrect Not Unmindful. For now, I will be the sole voice, but I will be channelling everything that has come before from various voices.
The focus of the site, obviously, will be shifting a bit given the state of the world, but at the end of the day, our goals for the University remain the same—to remove Lee from the name and branding as it’s public face. I think this is as important now as it was in the wake of George Floyd’s murder because Neo-Confederates and Fascists aren’t even trying to hide any more and are on the march, even within peaceful anti-fascist protests. The newsfeed of the site will focus on this as well as the usual history of racism and systemic racism in the US.
I hope you all will join me on this journey. This site will continue to focus on the usual waffle-waffle, music, and personal stuff.
