On December 28, 2025, we said goodbye to our Bhindi: the OG, Big Dog, Bhindi dog. Bhindi do. Bhindi Lu.
She will always be there bestest girl ever. She completed our family and made our lives immeasurably better in all possible ways.
She was. a goofball who hated new people and loved the ones she knew. She loved her besties Bubba and Liz, both of whom are waiting on the other side of the. rainbow bridge, where no scary strangers lurk. Just her and her friends.
Bhindi found her forever home a little more than a year after she was born into bad circumstances near Griffin, Georgia. The original rescuer had developed a sever allergy to dogs, and so she came to us after being rescued, but still confined to one room of her old house. She arrived here in a crate too small for her, and crates were shortly a thing of the past as she took ownership of our home.

Given her behavior, I can only shudder to think imagine what she had been through. It took about a week for her to come to Kris for pets. It took her even longer to trust me (as I was on the road for work a lot). She wouldn’t be within 10 feet of me for a few weeks.
But. then she lived, and she lived a long full, happy, loved life. From recognizing her friends after the initial barking when they arrived, to. playing with her other canine friends: Bubba, Liz, and Steph (and finally, Emmy).
You will be missed. The sweetest bestest good girl ever.
